I don't know much about classical music - how will I know what music to select?
String Theory Music has extensive wedding and special event experience. In our consultations, we can guide you and recommend selections based on the timing details of your wedding, your musical tastes, and the ambiance that you want to create for your guests. We are happy to choose all the selections for you, to let you choose every piece, or anywhere in between.
Can I request a song that may not be listed on the website?
Yes. Our wedding ceremony music list includes many popular ceremony favorites but it is not comprehensive. We have an enormous music library compiled from years of performances and chances are that we have any music for which you are looking, even if you don't see it listed.
If there is a particular selection that we don't have that you want played at your special event, we will do our best to locate your request and will play it at a nominal fee. The additional charge is based on the price of the sheet music or arranging fee and a rehearsal, if necessary.
Will a musician attend my wedding rehearsal?
The musicians of String Theory Music have many years experience playing weddings and it is not necessary to have them attend your rehearsal. However, if you prefer, and if scheduling can be accommodated, a musician can attend your rehearsal for an additional fee.
How early with String Theory Music arrive prior to the start of my wedding?
The coordinating musician will arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your start time to set up, consult with your officiant and planner, and answer any last-minute questions.
How much does it cost to hire the musicians?
All prices are quoted on an individual basis, reflecting all consultation fees and a base rate per musician; additional costs may include travel fees, special music requests, extra rehearsal time, or music arranging fees.
How much music is included in your wedding ceremony package?
All wedding ceremony packages include the following:
Prelude Music (we customarily begin playing prelude music 15-30 minutes prior to your start time but more time can be requested at an additional charge)
Ceremony Music (entrance of the wedding party, entrance of the bride, interlude, recessional)
Postlude Music (up to 15 minutes of postlude music is played as your guests are dispersing)
What kind of deposit is required?
Your deposit of 50% is due with the return of your contract. The balance is due no later than the date of your event.
Our musicians are booked on a first come, first serve basis so please be aware that our availability for your date can change and the musicians are not reserved without a signed contract and deposit.
