Beth Searles
Bethany Pope Searles started playing the cello at age 10 while living in Maryland. Her family relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where she began taking private cello lessons under the direction of Laurie Casseday of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.
She auditioned and was accepted to Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and it was during her 4 years there that she excelled musically beyond her wildest dreams.
Beth graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in 1999 and was offered a number of music scholarships to various colleges. She decided to stay close to her family and attend the University of North Florida in Jacksonville where she continued to study privately with Laurie Casseday. Beth graduated from the University of North Florida in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration and a minor in Music Performance.

She is a member of the Jacksonville University Orchestra and also performs at weddings and events with String Theory Music and other organizations in Jacksonville, Florida.
Beth's loves in life are her husband Matt, their 8-year-old son Zayne, two special Chihuahuas Lucy and Bean, and her cello!
