Joe Henderson

Joe Henderson is the Assistant Principal Violist of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and a section violist of the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. He grew up in Jacksonville and studied at the University of North Florida with DJ Cheek (Principal Viola of Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra). Joe also substitutes with the Jacksonville Symphony, Palm Beach Opera, Charleston Symphony, Nashville Symphony, Sarasota Orchestra, Coastal Symphony of Georgia, and Venice Symphony.

In past summers, he attended the Texas Chamber Music Institute, American Viola Society Festival, National Orchestral Institute, and Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival.

For fun, Joe creates sheet music arrangements for his own YouTube videos and records for local bands such as Sunriver and Coyboi.
